Gedcom on Ancestry/Rootsweb says Norman Hawley was born 6 Sep 1809 in Arlington, Bennington, VT and died in Wisconsin. Father was Philo Hawley, born 3 Jul 1759 in New Milford, Ct. Mother was Hannah Leonard born 12 Nov 1765.
Norman married first, Mary Lewis 4 Jul 1836. Married second, Betsey Moyer about 1846. Source given for the marriages is a family Bible. The marriage date for Betsey is contradicted by the 1850 census, where Norman's wife is Mary.
Philo's parents were Andrew Hawley and Ann Hard. Andrew was born in Arlington, Bennington, Vermont. Ann's place of birth was Newtown, Fairfield, Connecticut.
Ann was the daughter of James Hard and Hannah Kimberly, both of Connecticut.
The pedigree offered for Hannah Kimberly is extensive. It connects to my family through both the Seabrooks and the Marvins. There are errors in the data presented, so all is suspect.
