OLD-TIME FIREMAN DIES FROM SHOCK
Albert F. Doolittle, age 77, died at his home in Fayetteville Monday. Mr. Doolittle had been confined to his home ever since January, as the result
of a shock. He was born in the town of Collamer, his parents moving to Syracuse when he was a boy. A short time ago, he moved to Fayetteville. He was a
member of the first paid fire department in Syracuse, and was on the police force at the time Chief Wright headed the department. He was a Civil war
veteran, having been a member of the 149th volunteer regiment serving for three years. His widow, Harriet Emerson Doolittle, and a son, Clarence M., are
the surviviors.

Albert's paternal grandparents were Abner Doolittle and Lydia Tuttle. Lydia descends from the immigrant William Tuttle/Tuthill.
Albert was born 1843 in New York State and died 5 Aug 1918 in Fayetteville, Onondaga, NY. He married Catherine Erth.
